27 Days and Counting

The title of this post was suppose to read..."30 Days and Counting." However, I forgot to finish the blog entry on the 9th of December. So, here we are.

Many of you know that on January 8th, 2017, I will become the third lead pastor of New Covenant Christian Church in Fort Dodge, IA! New Covenant has been around since January of 1984. I am so excited for what God has planned for the church during this transition.

I switched my office the other day and now I have the lead pastor office, aka the "big office." It's big. I know it's big because people keep entering my office and declaring, "this is a big office!" These are not strangers but people I know! They are people I work with! Even a certain pastor, who used to be in this office, is impressed with the expansive work space! They have all seen this office before, but for some reason it is now REALLY BIG!

Why do I tell you this? Because moving into a new office really made me realize that this whole transition this is happening. I knew it was real, and that this transition would take place, but the office switch triggered something in my brain! It was a shift that started a countdown in my head. 30...29...28...27...you get the idea.

I am excited to see what God is going to continue to do at NCCC! I am so glad that I am able to be a part of what He is doing in this church, at this town, and at this time.

27 days and counting...
