Vacation

I decided to take last week off and not write a blog post. The reason? Family Vacation to the Black Hills in South Dakota. My family, my parents, and my brother's family all went. It was a great time!

We spent time at Wall Drug, Al's Oasis, Mitchell, Custer State Park, Lake Sylvan (pictured above), Mount Rushmore, Bear Country, Palmer Gulch KOA, Hill City, Keystone, and the Badlands. Despite all of these activities, there was still time to relax with family.

I think that relaxing and hanging out with my family were probably my two favorite activities of the whole trip. You can put a price on the Black Hills activities, and they do, but time with family is priceless. Spending time with my parents, kids, wife, brother, sister-in-law, nieces, and nephew was fun. We had a good time and made some good memories.

I also had a great time doing absolutely nothing on the trip. Sitting around in the hot tub, drinking coffee, eating some good food, and having fun conversations were all part of the fun. Going away always reminds me of the importance of these things.

It was good to go on this trip. It was relaxing to get away.

I hope you find some time this summer to hang out and relax with family and friends. You will be glad that you did!

Until Monday, Josh
